Everything comes back in style eventually.
We’ve previously shared that we were very clear from the beginning that we wanted to keep the feel of the “small town, old fashioned, 1895 built” church. One of the best ways to keep that feel is with the trim. We shared with the contractor that we’d really like period-appropriate trim and they were able to track down some really beautiful pieces for us. While it is new trim and not antique, it perfectly matches the look and feel we had in mind and is exactly what you would have seen in the building when Father Hoehn purchased it in 1910.
Several windows have been trimmed out and we couldn’t be happier with the look!
The smaller windows in the side altar area are always a favorite of St. Jude parishioners.
This view from the front gives us a look at the window trim along with the ceiling.
There’s lots of trim waiting to be installed!
And while the windows were being trimmed out the basement stairwell got a fresh coat of paint to go along with the new windows and door.
