It takes a village.

Many things, especially things in small towns, take a village. This is never more true than in the case of our small parish and this massive renovation project. Several parishioners have offered their services and their expertise and this includes Darren and Harper Murphy who have donated the materials, time, and work to create the new ladder for the bell tower.

16 year old parishioner Harper Murphy has donated several hours to helping construct the new ladder for the bell tower and here he’s showing off his handiwork for the camera.

Harper tests out the ladder strength while Darren makes notes and measurements for the necessary tweaks.

The floors have been covered to allow for the drywall to be finished.

When renovations are complete there will be a television screen hanging above the door to the bell tower and the AV wires have been installed.

Looking toward the back door from the altar area we get a pretty good look at the current state of things.

Stilts used by the drywall crew rest against the wall and wait to be used again tomorrow.
